Gavin Henderson - Chief Executive Officer

                                     

Gavin Henderson was appointed CEO of the Windsor Learning partnership in August 2020, after being the interim CEO for four months following the sudden death of the MAT’s successful first CEO, Gill Labrum. He was the headteacher at The Windsor Boys’ School from 2013, having worked previously as deputy head at Feltham Community College for twelve years, and before that at schools in Brent, Haringey, Acton and Richmond as an English teacher and head of department.

He has over thirty-five years’ experience in a range of urban schools, and has successfully focused on literacy, vocational pathways, and inclusive teaching at A level. A graduate of Durham University, he has studied for one master’s degree in language and literacy, and another in educational leadership and management.  He has facilitated formal training courses for middle and senior leaders, as well as helping develop training routes into teaching.

His family have fostered over 25 children. Gavin has two grown up children and a granddaughter just starting in the educational system.

 

Maureen Carlton - Chief Financial Officer

Maureen Carlton joined The Windsor Boys’ School as School Business Manager in September 2013 and was appointed CFO of Windsor Learning Partnership in September 2017.

Prior to this, Maureen worked as Finance Director of a large local charity for nine years and spent many years in senior accounting roles within UK and multinational companies.

Maureen was born in Windsor and attended Windsor Girls’ School, as did members of her family and extended family. Many of Maureen’s male relatives attended The Windsor Boys’ School, including her brothers and sons. Maureen still lives in Windsor as do many of her family and she feels a great affinity for Windsor and the Windsor schools.

Angela Browne - Chief Operating Officer

Angela Browne joined Windsor Learning Partnership as Chief Operating Officer in June 2021. Prior to this she was Finance Director and Head of Resources at a Local Multi Academy Trust in Slough for six years. She has 17 years of educational experience working in Bursar and School Business Manager roles, across three local authorities; Slough, Windsor and Ealing in First, Primary, Secondary and PFI schools. 

Angela is a member of the Department for Education’s Star Chamber Scrutiny Board. She enjoys reading and travelling and lives in Slough with the youngest of her two daughters.

Nicola Chandler - Director of Inclusion

Nicola Chandler joined Dedworth Campus as Executive Headteacher in September 2020, working across both schools and as the substantive headteacher at Dedworth Middle School. Having attended Dedworth Green First School and Dedworth Middle School herself, as well as Windsor Girls School in the 1980 and 1990’s, it was the dream job to manage and lead the Dedworth schools.

Nicola lives in Windsor with her husband and two children and has been a headteacher for over 7 years. Starting off as an English teacher and leading departments to then entering a variety of senior leadership positions. She has completed her NPQH as well as her NPQEL.

Nicola is extremely passionate about education and equality and ensuring all children are given as many opportunities as they can to achieve and flourish. Outside of school, Nicola loves to keep herself fit and active and you will often see her pounding the streets of Windsor in the early hours of the morning.

Jane Davies - Executive Head Teacher and Director of Secondary Education

Jane Davies has recently been appointed Executive Head Teacher and Director of Secondary Education of the Windsor Learning Partnership in April 2025. She was the Headteacher of Hoe Valley School in Woking and a founding member of staff since the school opened in September 2015. Jane led the school through two outstanding Ofsted inspections and opened a thriving Sixth Form in September 2023.

She has twenty years of experience working in schools starting her teaching career at Coombe Girls’ School in New Malden which also achieved two outstanding Ofsted ratings during this time. Following this, Jane joined a Senior Leadership Team of a school which required improvement and worked closely with the Headteacher to secure a successful Ofsted before moving to Hoe Valley School. A graduate from the University of North Wales, she studied both French and German, spending her year abroad an International Interpreting school in Belgium and at the University of Leipzig in Germany. Jane has a Masters Degree in Leadership and Management from Kingston University and is both NPQH and NPEL certified.

Passionate about levelling the playing field, Jane is keen to bring equity to both boys and girls in the Windsor Upper schools.

Howard Seymour - Director of Primary Education

Howard Seymour grew up in Essex, but now lives in Windsor and has been part of the community for over a decade. Since graduating from the University of Reading, with a specialism in music, he has worked across 5 local authorities as a primary practitioner and has been a Headteacher in both the maintained and Special Educational Needs sectors.

Claire Wiggins - Director of Communication

Claire joined WLP in October 2024 as Director of Communications, supporting the CEO. She has spent the majority of her career in the tech sector, leading marketing operations and experiential campaigns for BlackBerry and Samsung Electronics across EMEA, where she delivered innovative brand experiences and demand generation initiatives. Claire lives in Windsor with her husband and daughters and serves as co-chair of the PTA at her daughter's school.
