Colour Run brings WLP schools together
Oakfield First School and Clewer Green CE First School teamed up for an unforgettable colour run this weekend.
Nearly 500 runners dashed a 1.5km route between the two schools, where they were covered in colour, completed obstacles and got drenched at water stations.
The event was organised by both schools’ PTAs and supported on the day by sports leaders from Windsor Girls’ School - a brilliant example of collaboration across the Trust. After the run, families made the most of the sunshine, relaxing with picnics, ice cream, a licensed bar plus plenty of space to unwind and enjoy the afternoon.
Executive Headteacher Howard Seymour said “It was a truly joyful day that captured the spirit of our school communities. Seeing the children and families from both Oakfield and Clewer Green come together in such a positive, energetic way was inspiring. Huge thanks to our PTA teams who worked tirelessly to organise such a memorable event that we hope becomes a regular fixture on the school calendars.”
Funds raised will go directly toward enrichment opportunities for pupils at both schools — a lasting impact from a day to remember.
