New leadership signals the start of a bold chapter for Windsor Girls’ School

A new era of leadership at Windsor Girls’ School, signalling a renewed focus on excellence, alignment and equity across the Windsor upper schools has been announced by Windsor Learning Partnership.

 

At the start of the summer term, Jane Davies commenced her role as Executive Headteacher of Windsor Upper Schools and Director of Secondary Education. Jane will be working across both Windsor Girls’ School and The Windsor Boys’ School to continue to reap the benefits of collaborative working that brings greater alignment and ensures consistent, high-quality educational experiences for all students. Students can look forward to increased access to shared resources, joint activities and broader opportunities, leading to a more unified educational journey for the children in Windsor.

 

Jane Davies, formally Headteacher at Hoe Valley School in Woking, an Outstanding school was widely recognised for her commitment to quality of teaching and learning and her visionary leadership. She brings with her a deep passion for levelling the playing field and is determined to create a culture of opportunity and fairness for every student, regardless of gender or background. Jane said “I’m excited to be joining Windsor Learning Partnership at such a pivotal time. I believe in the power of collaboration to raise aspirations and outcomes, and I am committed to seeing every child thrive academically, socially and personally.”

 

Windsor Learning Partnership is also pleased to confirm that Ben Garner, who stepped into the role of Head of School at Windsor Girls’ School on an interim basis in January has now been appointed to the role permanently following a rigorous recruitment process. Ben has already demonstrated outstanding leadership and a deep commitment to the school community during his interim tenure. He commented “It is a privilege to lead Windsor Girls’ School on a permanent basis. I’m proud of our students and staff and I look forward to building on the positive momentum that I’ve seen across all aspects of the school.”
