Windsor Girls' School make waves at Ball Cup Regatta

Windsor Girls’ School Boat Club had a successful weekend at the Ball Cup Regatta 2025 at Dorney Lake last weekend, bringing home rowing medals for the very first time! It was a landmark moment for WGSBC with impressive performances across the board and we’re proud to shout about it.

Highlights from the regatta include:
🥇 Gold for the U15 4x+
Tyler, Ava, Izzy, Pearl and Robyn (cox) delivered a flawless performance in the quad taking home Gold. This was a phenomenal achievement in a strong field and a huge boost for the team.

🥉 Bronze for the U14 4x+
Brooke, Tilly, Sophie, Maria, and Rose (cox) made an incredible debut in their first ever multi-lane race. They secured a Bronze medal which was a testament to their grit and determination.

👏 Strong Finishes in the 2x
Florence and Livia (U15 2x) placed 5th overall in a competitive field.
Olive and Tara (U14 2x) also secured a 5th place finish, showing great potential for the future.

This is a huge milestone for WGSBC and we couldn’t be prouder of the students' hard work and commitment. WLP would like to extend our thanks to coach John Collins who worked tirelessly on the day and to Eton Excelsior Rowing Club for their continued support. Thanks also go to friends and families who cheered them down the course.
