Clewer Green celebrate the magic of Roald Dahl
Thu 20 Nov 2025Yesterday, our Year 3 pupils at Clewer Green CE First School brought their Roald Dahl learning to life with a day full of Dahl-inspired fun!
Dressed as their favourite characters, they sipped frobscottle, nibbled on "human beans", sampled lots of different types of chocolate, and took part in an exciting Roald Dahl themed treasure hunt around school.
The day ended with the PTA organising a Wonderlicious chocolate bar sale, with 60 lucky golden tickets hidden inside the bars. Winners enjoyed prizes ranging from a family trip to Windsor Illuminated, LEGO sets and tickets to the Roald Dahl Museum plus books, classroom discos and hot chocolate with the Headteacher.
A huge thank you to the Year 3 team and all involved in making this such a memorable experience. -

Wellington College Arts Grant Awarded to Windsor Upper Schools
Mon 10 Nov 2025We are thrilled to have been awarded £500 from the Wellington College Arts Fund, which supports local state schools in delivering high-quality arts education in music, dance, drama, and visual arts. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to bring hands-on creativity into the classroom.
Thanks to this generous grant, every Year 9 student at Windsor Girls’ School and The Windsor Boys’ School will take part in a ceramics project during the summer term, exploring 3D art and creating their very own ceramic piece. We can’t wait to see their ideas come to life and share the results when the project is complete.
A huge thank you to Wellington College for supporting the arts and helping our students develop their creativity and confidence, plus our Director of Art, Miss Wright for her continued commitment to art across the Trust.

Success at Head of the Charles, Boston
Mon 10 Nov 202516 rowers and 4 coxes from The Windsor Boys’ School travelled to Boston, USA, to compete at the Head of the Charles Regatta, the world’s largest rowing event, celebrating its 60th Anniversary this year. With thousands of crews and over 100,000 spectators, it was an unforgettable experience and a true celebration of rowing at its best.
This marked the school’s fourth US trip in recent years, continuing the outstanding international programme that also includes events in Amsterdam, Ghent, Gavirate, Lago Azul, and across Great Britain.
The First Quad raced superbly in the Youth Coxed Quads event, successfully defending their 2023 & 2024 titles to take Gold, achieving an unprecedented hat-trick of wins.
The Coxed Eight made an impressive debut at the event, navigating through a large field to finish 19th, while the Second Quad produced a determined performance for 11th place. These results demonstrate the strength, depth, and dedication within the TWBS rowing programme.
A special mention also to the TWBS cox who joined Tideway Scullers in the Youth Women’s Coxed Quad, finishing 4th - a fantastic result and brilliant experience.
It is inspiring to see the school’s alumni progressing to prestigious US universities including Princeton, Harvard, Brown, Penn, and UC California, showing what can be achieved through excellence in both sport and academics.
Our congratulations and thanks go to coaches Mark Wilkinson and Ben Liddell, Mr Manwaring, and all the parents who travelled to support the team.
It was a phenomenal achievement from The Windsor Boys’ School, representing our Trust on the international rowing stage. -
