Clewer Green CE First School receives impressive Ofsted report
Tue 11 Mar 2025Clewer Green CE First School recently received glowing praise in its Ofsted inspection. Inspectors highlighted the school's nurturing environment, high standards, and commitment to inclusivity.
The report noted that “pupils thrive at this kind and nurturing school” and celebrate diversity, learning about different cultures and faiths with enthusiasm. It also praised the school’s “exceptional personal development provision”, which equips pupils with lifelong skills.
Clewer Green’s ambition for its students was also recognised, with Ofsted stating the school has “a relentlessly high aspiration for all pupils”. The inspection concluded that children leave the school well-prepared for their next steps.
Executive Head, Howard Seymour, said: “We are incredibly proud of our pupils and staff. This report reflects the dedication and support that makes Clewer Green a special place. I want to thank our staff and families for their continued commitment.”

Oakfield First School earns strong praise from Ofsted
Thu 06 Feb 2025A recent Ofsted report on Oakfield First School reaffirms their unwavering dedication to providing exceptional education for its pupils. The report which follows the ungraded inspection highlights several strengths that contribute to its continued success. Stating “pupils thrive at this happy, nurturing school” with a focus on strong outcomes in phonics, reading, maths and history. This is a clear testament to the dedication of the staff, who have worked hard to create a curriculum that supports every child’s development.
A particular area of praise was the schools’ swift action in strengthening early reading where “staff model sounds accurately and check pupils’ understanding systematically”. This early focus ensures that all children, regardless of background, are given a strong start in their education. The inclusive and supportive culture within the school was highlighted with disadvantaged pupils and those with special educational needs flourishing alongside their peers. Parents agree on the report, with one quoted as saying “‘Oakfield is a caring school with highly committed staff. It has been like a family to us.”
