  • Congratulations, James Manwaring MBE

    Fri 23 Jan 2026

We are incredibly proud to announce that our Director of Music, James Manwaring, has been awarded an MBE in the King’s Birthday Honours for services to education. This national recognition is richly deserved and celebrates an extraordinary contribution to music education across our Trust, the Windsor community, and far beyond.

James’ journey is inspiring, from being a student at The Windsor Boys’ School to becoming Director of Music, a role he has dedicated over 20 years of unwavering passion, creativity, and excellence to. Throughout this time, James has staged countless spectacular productions that highlight the exceptional talent within our Trust, brought choirs together for the Platinum Jubilee and Coronation celebrations, led Glee Club for 15 years, and opened the door for countless young people to experience the joy, confidence, and life changing power of music.

Beyond his work within the Trust, James is President of the Music Teachers Association, part of the organising committee for Long Walk Live, and is spearheading a national campaign to place a choir in every school in the UK. His work consistently goes above and beyond, supporting students, adults, educators, and communities to experience the joy and power of music.

As James said, "this honour belongs to the students, families, colleagues, and wider Windsor community who have shared in the journey." His belief that no one should be denied access to music education is at the heart of everything he does.

Please join us in congratulating James on this outstanding and well deserved honour. We are immensely proud to have you leading music across our Trust.

The Windsor Boys’ School and Windsor Girls’ School performed outside the iconic St George’s Chapel, while Clewer Green CE First School, Oakfield First School, Dedworth Green First School, and Dedworth Middle School filled the magnificent St George’s Hall with singing around the Christmas tree, performing to an audience of both family and castle visitors.

A huge thank you to Mr Manwaring for managing the events, and to Mrs Laver, Mr Fletcher, Miss Celoleskaj, and Mr Thomas for their dedication in rehearsing the children. We also want to thank all the parents who attended and, most importantly, celebrate the students, whose enthusiasm and singing made the events so memorable.

Windsor Learning Partnership are grateful to the Royal Collection Trust and Windsor Castle for their support in making this extraordinary experience possible for our community.

  • Clewer Green celebrate the magic of Roald Dahl

    Thu 20 Nov 2025

Yesterday, our Year 3 pupils at Clewer Green CE First School brought their Roald Dahl learning to life with a day full of Dahl-inspired fun!

Dressed as their favourite characters, they sipped frobscottle, nibbled on "human beans", sampled lots of different types of chocolate, and took part in an exciting Roald Dahl themed treasure hunt around school.

The day ended with the PTA organising a Wonderlicious chocolate bar sale, with 60 lucky golden tickets hidden inside the bars. Winners enjoyed prizes ranging from a family trip to Windsor Illuminated, LEGO sets and tickets to the Roald Dahl Museum plus books, classroom discos and hot chocolate with the Headteacher.

A huge thank you to the Year 3 team and all involved in making this such a memorable experience.

  • Wellington College Arts Grant Awarded to Windsor Upper Schools

    Mon 10 Nov 2025

We are thrilled to have been awarded £500 from the Wellington College Arts Fund, which supports local state schools in delivering high-quality arts education in music, dance, drama, and visual arts. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to bring hands-on creativity into the classroom.

Thanks to this generous grant, every Year 9 student at Windsor Girls’ School and The Windsor Boys’ School will take part in a ceramics project during the summer term, exploring 3D art and creating their very own ceramic piece. We can’t wait to see their ideas come to life and share the results when the project is complete.

A huge thank you to Wellington College for supporting the arts and helping our students develop their creativity and confidence, plus our Director of Art, Miss Wright for her continued commitment to art across the Trust.
