  • Colour Run brings WLP schools together

    Thu 22 May 2025

Oakfield First School and Clewer Green CE First School teamed up for an unforgettable colour run this weekend.

Nearly 500 runners dashed a 1.5km route between the two schools, where they were covered in colour, completed obstacles and got drenched at water stations.

The event was organised by both schools’ PTAs and supported on the day by sports leaders from Windsor Girls’ School - a brilliant example of collaboration across the Trust. After the run, families made the most of the sunshine, relaxing with picnics, ice cream, a licensed bar plus plenty of space to unwind and enjoy the afternoon.

Executive Headteacher Howard Seymour said “It was a truly joyful day that captured the spirit of our school communities. Seeing the children and families from both Oakfield and Clewer Green come together in such a positive, energetic way was inspiring. Huge thanks to our PTA teams who worked tirelessly to organise such a memorable event that we hope becomes a regular fixture on the school calendars.”

Funds raised will go directly toward enrichment opportunities for pupils at both schools — a lasting impact from a day to remember.

    Wed 14 May 2025

Over 300 budding artists from schools across the Windsor Learning Partnership have taken part in the Well Windsor Charity Art Competition, showing their creativity while raising awareness for wellbeing and mental health in the local community.
The competition invited students to express what “Community Connection” means to them through the medium of art. The entries received highlighted the talent and emotional insight of children from first school to secondary school.

“The response from our students have been so inspiring” said Emma Wright, Director of Art for Windsor Learning Partnership. “Each piece of artwork tells a story and is a reminder of the power of art to communicate emotion that sometimes words can’t. I’d like to thank the schools for their engagement in the project and congratulate the artists of the winning entries.”

The Well Windsor charity, which supports mental health initiatives throughout the borough, praised the competition for putting children’s voices and creativity at the forefront of the crucial conversation. Andy Nuttall, Chair of Trustees at Well Windsor commented “We are thrilled to have the support of Windsor Learning Partnership for this competition. These young artists have given us a window into how they believe that strong communities create stronger mental health.
